Simo Vassinen: (B)RAVE INTENTIONS

Where does the party start and where does it end? Hosted by Simo Vassinen with sounds and co-hosting by MORA and Islaja, this gathering at Kelo Tent on the first day invites festival-goers to investigate their (b)rave intentions through movement, soundscapes and streams of consciousness.

We go through flows of dynamic meditation, somatic chaos and psychoanalysis-inspired talking and writing. We explore shared questions: How does the Night inform the Day? What do we do with the info picked up on the dancefloor? What do we bring there and what do we bring back? This is not group therapy, this is an act of togetherness where we lean on other bodies in a shared space to align our minds and access new thinking and intentionality. Bring a notebook and pen if easy – some writing supplies are also available.

Facilitated by Simo Vassinen – dancer, bodyworker and somatic facilitator working in Helsinki, Berlin and around Europe with a background in future research, journalism and many dancefloors. He is joined by regular collaborators: MORA, a Helsinki-based DJ and community organizer as well as Islaja, a long-serving Finnish musician who will also perform live at Solstice.
